Saturn Aura Green Line Hybrid Review

Since its introduction at the North American International Auto Show in January 2005, the car has become very popular, both as a standard vehicle, and now as a hybrid version of Saturn Aura Green Line. The popularity of this vehicle in two forms, as “the best Saturn has happened since its inception” was announced by Edmunds. Actually won the 2007 Saturn Aura the North American Car of the Year Award.

GM plans to add the green aura is the most affordable hybrid on the market and a $ 1300 hybrid tax IRS is also for those who qualify. The hybrid version of Aura offers the same security package, two gas-only five-star safety rating for the government frontal and side impact crash tests deserve.

The second hybrid from GM and Saturn (right behind the Saturn Vue Green Line) to come, this four-door sedan mild hybrid view, and runs on a 2.4L Ecotech engine with an electric motor / generator and 4T45-E four-speed. But this difference under the hood is not in dramatic differences in fuel consumption. While the Aura Green Line gets 24 mpg in city and 32 on the highway, the standard vehicle sister Aura XE gets 22 mpg in city and 30 on the highway.

An interesting feature in this entry-level hybrid is the air conditioner. The driver can choose whether the air is cooled with power from the battery or engine. If the AC is set to 65 or higher can run it on pure electricity – so no more discussion about whether it is more efficient to roll down the windows and crank the air conditioner.

In 2008 Aura Green Line at $ 24.550, it represents a good deal for everyone in the market for a hybrid car. With the space you’d expect from a standard sedan, light heating oil than standard versions, and the use of green technology that we gratifying was surprised how far Saturn has its surprises come since the days of his plastic tailgate. Just do not expect significant savings (economic and environmental) that you would get with a full hybrid. Additionally, you can contact a number of retailers, get a test drive in a new hybrid Aura, because these hybrids are very limited production and only available in selected markets.

Since the hybrid Saturn Vue 2 Mode Hybrid system is to start production in late 2008, we can only hope that the message is from a 2009 or 2010 Saturn Aura Green Line two-mode is not far behind.
