With 79 per 1,000 teenage girls
aged 15-19, downtown Ogden has the fourth-highest
teenage birth rate (number of live births) in
the state of Utah. This is also double the national
average. When breaking down the Utah birth rate
by race/ethnicity, the highest birth rates among
15-19 year-old females occur among the Hispanic/Latina
populations. In 2005, the birth rate among Hispanic/Latina
teens was 99.4 per 1,000 females aged 15-19.
